Active reports connection string

I am installing a new Cityworks version 23.x site and was wondering if the Active reports connection string is the same as the core application connection string? Thanks.

    We used the same connection as the core application and it seems to be working as expected.

    On any new report, if you go straight to 'Dataset' section (skip Datasource) and click 'add' and add the defaultdataset, you will automatically have the database connection set up for you. You can continue to build your report by editing the default dataset.
